I couldn’t help it…I found this video on my hard drive and I had to post it (mainly for Ty to see!).  Keep your eye on player #7.  It’s hard to believe how fast time flies!

Switching Banks....Grrrr.
Switching banks sucks.  But so does Bancorp South. It is really sad that a great bank here in Springfield, MO like “The Bank” (ultimately The Signature Bank) had to merge with such a worthless company like Bancorp South.  First and foremost…they don’t have real time online banking status.  WTF? Are we back in 1999?  Non real-time banking is not good for a property...

Sleepy Sunday Should Have's
It has just been one of those days….a sleepy Sunday. I haven’t done much and I should have been. I should have been doing Christmas shopping, I should have been cleaning house and grocery shopping for all of the family that is coming in this weekend. I should have been finishing all the crap I have to do for work, I should have been going over Jake’s Christmas play lines with...

It’s funny what you find amusing.  Yes, I fought the crowds at the mall to do some quick Christmas shopping on Saturday and the sight of this dancing Santa made me smile.  Therefore I lost all frustration with the crowds.  So if all of the Christmas spirit is getting to you, watch this video, you’ll relax a little.

Is "Hell" A Bad Word?
This morning I took my 1st grade son into his class to apologize to his teacher for saying the word “hell” with a bunch of his friends during lunch yesterday.  Jake’s excuse in all of this to me & Ty was “I didn’t know it was a bad word”.  Is it a bad word?  Preachers say it.  It’s on TV all of the time.  It’s a pretty common word of sorts.  OK,...

This video was taken during the break taken at the Transaction Desk training this morning.  Paul and I have been doing these TD Training modules twice a week at The Board of REALTORS.  Sometimes it can seem a little overwhelming, but overall I am enjoying it.  I’m certainly learning a lot.

Dodged the Ice Storm Bullet...But Now Snow?
So we missed the ice storm but the people north of Springfield weren’t so lucky.  Now snow?  4-8” by Saturday night?  Tell me again why I haven’t moved further south….I detest winter.

Makin' The Bacon, But Not Bringing Home The Bacon
As I am frying up the rest of the bacon that was in the refrigerator (seriously…the pre-cooked-throw-it-in-the-microwave bacon is so much easier than frying it, but I had no choice) I couldn’t help but think about the bacon.  Maybe it’s just the season, and maybe it’s me.  But why is it that I just can’t seem to be bringing it home even though I am paid well at my...

We’re experimenting with using video in our Transaction Desk training classes by sending video e-mails to those who are signed up.  Paul does a pretty good job for off-the-cuff videos!

Somewhere A Village Is Missing an Idiot
What do you do when you work with a complete idiot?  For once, I’m not talking about my boss, but I am so tired of working with missing village idiots.

As Paul and I were getting ready for the next Transaction Desk training class, I couldn’t resist video taping our madness as we prepared in the board room next door to the training class room. We’ve been doing these different Transaction Desk training modules twice a week and there are times when I begin to wonder if it is killing us! But, we’re actually doing a pretty good job and enjoying it...

Not Worried About Another Ice Storm
They say that there is a possibility for 1/2” of ice that could turn into a repeat of January’s ice storm that had us without power for 10 days.  Even for as miserable as it was in January, for some reason, I am not worried.  I don’t think it will be a repeat.  Maybe I’m being a littel too naive, but I refuse to succumb to the fear of some frozen water!!

I am lovin' Craigslist
Craigslist certainly has had it’s fairshare of bad press, but it has also been a really good tool for us REALTORS and Property Managers.  I got an e-mail this morning from a guy who has been transferred to Springfield who found one of our listings on Craigslist.  Within an hour of receiving the e-mail, I shoot back a reply and before you know it I have a 12 noon showing scheduled for 3 of...

Early Morning
I love being the first one up early in the morning.  Everyone else is fast asleep.  All is quiet in the house, the only noise is the coffee maker.  Mmmmm.  It gives me time to think, read and just have some peace and quiet before I hit the ground running.

I Am Still in My Twenties!
The countdown has begun.  Less than 30 days left of me being in my twenties.  They say that life begins at 30.  So on January 6, 2008 I will be 30 years old, and if what they say is true…then life is really about to begin popping because it has been great so far.

I Started As a Receptionist
After following the scent of an awesome Mac Pro with a 30” monitor I met a woman who works in a different office in the same building.  She is probably 20 years older than me and very much into graphic design on the above mentioned Mac she has been working on.  She mentioned to me that she doesn’t have a degree in graphic design, but she has an innate ability to research and learn. ...
